Volunteer Opportunities at McDonald International
We have many volunteer opportunities in classrooms, the office, and at school in general. We appreciate the energy and dedication volunteers bring to our school community. Children benefit when they feel the whole community is involved and interested in their well being.
We welcome all community members. To volunteer, you will first need to participate in an online training for adult sexual misconduct prevention. You will be asked to review the district’s volunteer handbook, and then you will be asked to complete an application and background check. New and returning volunteers can read about the entire process on the Seattle Public Schools Volunteer Information page.
McDonald International has a very strong PTA (Parent Teacher Association). There are many opportunities for volunteers within the PTA as well for hosted activities, festivals, and after-school clubs. For more information, please visit the McDonald International PTA Volunteer Info page.
After your application to volunteer has been approved, we will be able to connect you with volunteer activities with classroom teachers, the office administrators, and the PTA.
As the saying goes, “many hands make light work.” Volunteering often feels more like fun than work!
