Physical Education
Welcome to Physical Education, from Ms. Fleck!

Welcome to McDonald International School’s Physical Education! This is an exciting place to be! My name is Ms. Fleck (she/her), and this is my 7th year at McDonald. My teaching mission is to help students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence for a lifetime of physical activity and health. I love teaching P.E. and it is an honor to get to work with your students. In my classroom I play music and have fun, but there are always tons of learning going on every day in all three domains: cognitive (thinking), affective (social/emotional), and psychomotor (physical/kinesthetic.)
State P.E. standards
For each grade level, students are taught lessons aligned to these five Washington State standards:
- Standard 1: Students will demonstrate competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.
- Standard 2: Students will apply knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics related to movement and performance.
- Standard 3: Students will demonstrate the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
- Standard 4: Students will exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respect self and others.
Students will recognize the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and social interaction.
