School Supplies 2026-27

Students are encouraged to bring their school supplies to the Meet the Teacher Event the day before school starts, or, on the first day (or week) of school. If purchasing school supplies is a hardship, please email the school counselor, Ms. Runions at kjrunions@seattleschools.org

Below is a list of school supplies that your child will be using in our classroom this school year. While we understand that getting school supplies can be very exciting and that students may want to get fun and decorative supplies, this can often lead to conflicts. To avoid as much disruption as we can, we are listing our preferred supplies below. All of these supplies will be used by the whole classroom community, so please do not label any supplies with your child’s name before bringing them to school.

  1. Crayola Crayons (large 16 colors)
  2. Pink Pearl or Tombow Mono (white) Erasers
  3. Folders (plastic, no prong, Blue x1, Yellow x1, Red x1)
  4. Markers (Mr. Sketch – 12 colors)
  5. Expo Dry Erase Markers (Black 4 pack)    
  6. Oil Pastels (box of 16 colors)
  7. Crayola watercolor set
  8. Pencil Pouch (any color, double zippers)
  9. Ticonderoga Laddie Tri-Write Pencils (12 pack)

Below is a list of school supplies your student will use throughout the school year. We know shopping for school supplies can be a lot of fun, and many students enjoy picking out colorful or decorative items. However, special supplies can sometimes become a distraction or lead to disagreements among students. To help keep our classroom running smoothly, we’ve included a list of the supplies we recommend below: 

  • 2 – pack of Ticonderoga Pencils, #2 Lead, Medium Soft, Pack of 12 
  • 3 – Spiral Notebook, 8″ x 10-1/2″, Wide Ruled, 70 Sheets (Preferred color: Blue) 
  • 2 -Crayola 12ct Colored Pencils, Back to School Supplies, Classroom Must Haves 
  • 2 -Elmer’s Washable School Glue Sticks, 0.24 Oz, Pack Of 4 
  • 1 – Elmer’s Washable Liquid School Glue, 4 Oz, Pack of 2 
  • 1 -Universal Hardboard Clipboard with Low-Profile Clip, 0.5″ Clip Capacity, Holds 8.5 x 11 Sheets, Brown. 
  • 2 -pack of Fine-point Black Whiteboard Markers (Preferred brand: Expo) 
  • 1-2 pink erasers (Preferred brand: Paper Mate® Pink Pearl). 
  • 2 -Paper folders with pockets (any colors okay, but please get two different colors)

    If you are in a position to donate extra of the above communal items, to help families who might be unable to purchase for their child, we would appreciate it.
