Mac’s Message

Dear Scottie Families,

This summer our school will benefit from voter-approved capital levies.

Our playground equipment will be replaced with new equipment. On the parking area by the gymnasium, we will get a new bicycle pathway (also called a traffic garden) that will help students learn safe bicycling practices.

Capital levies are the main way Seattle Public Schools pays for building improvements. Every three years, voters are asked to consider renewal of one of the two capital levies: Building Excellence (BEX) or Buildings, Technology, and Academics/Athletics (BTA). You can see a report about our levies on the district website.

The playground work at our school is paid for by the 2022 BTA V levy. If you have questions or comments on the project, please use Let’s Talk and select Other Construction Projects.

Thank you for a beautiful Moving Up Assembly for our fifth graders! We are so excited for your next journey in middle school!
